And the great news is- any children you bring along to the session with you, can skate for free too!
We run extra Roller Skating sessions midweek through the summer holidays and we are desperate for more helpers to make sure they run smoothly! Helping at these sessions usually involves greeting customers, handing out roller skates and selling sweets/drinks/snacks in the tuck shop. You don’t need any special qualifications to do this volunteer role, however we do have to undertake a DBS check on volunteers who are working with children. We provide free of charge certified first aid training too, which is always good to have!
Let us know if you think you could help!

Hi Yasmin here, volunteer coordinator at Barnsley CVS- just wondering if you would like us to advertise this in our next volunteer newsletter and opportunities page?
Hi Yasmin,
Yes please, that would be brilliant thank you!
We also have a few other opportunities particularly with our youth mental health project. Could I email you some details about that too please?
Fran
Hi
I’d like to help. I’m already dbs checked.
Can you send me more info please?
Thanks xx
Great! Thanks Sally! We’ll send you an email now! 🙂
I would be happy to help. How long are the sessions and when are they. I would need to bring my 2 boys.
Hi Jill!
That would be brilliant please! The sessions are 2hrs long, we’re just confirming dates, but I’ll include them in the email.
I’ll drop you an email and we can arrange for you to come in and have a quick induction.
No problem to bringing the boys along- lots of our volunteers do! 🙂
