The Big Gym Move!!

18/10/2017 by Frances Greenwood Leave a Comment

The Big Gym Move begins on Monday 23rd October at 11:30am! This is to allow us to complete essential work to tackle the damp in the current Cardio room.

Gym will be open as usual from 10am, but close slightly earlier at 11:30am, when we’ll begin to move the free weights and benches down to the new back room. Gym users who stay to help move the free weights and benches at 11:30 can have their session for FREE on Monday morning!

On Tuesday 24th daytime, we have a company called GymFit coming in to move and repair broken cardio equipment across into what was the old weights room, and the new back room. This means that the Gym will be CLOSED for the 10am-12pm Session Tuesday 24th.

Squats with Tot’s daytime session will be unaffected. Evening gym sessions remain unaffected, but machines will be in new locations. Any questions, please don’t hesitiate to ask the volunteer.

It is possible that GymFit’s work may continue onto Wednesday 25th, and affect the 10am-12pm Wednesday morning Gym Session, but the disrupton should be minimal, as the majority of the machines should be available in their new locations by then.

Please bear with us whilst this essential work is undertaken. It should vastly improve the centre’s facilities and gym user experience, meaning we have more machines in use and better space to use them in.
