Thanks – we couldn’t do it without you

We have lots to be grateful for lately with loads of support from businesses in our local community and our hardworking volunteers.

We hope you are all enjoying the newly refurbished cardio room and exercising in front of the lovely views in the photos taken by Gordon Gibbons and printed and framed for free by Shane, at Digiprint, in Penistone.

Thanks to Gary Wainwright and flooring company IMS south Yorkshire Limited for donating the specialist floor paint for the job.

Nikki Ingram and volunteer Ron got stuck in painting the floor, with lots of work to paint the walls carried out by a team of volunteers including Louis Shaw Morfitt and his friend Sam, David Sanderson, Peter Wooten, Michael Cooper and Cameron Mcallister and his parents.

And Instructor Richard Metham and his workout partner Keith did a great job moving the equipment back and forth to allow the work to take place.

**And another big thanks to Gripple for their cheque for £250 – which we will put towards our refurbishment fund for the work that is going to transform the centre.

Lesley Wainwright, for Gripple’s Charity team said: “We are very impressed that the centre is run predominantly by a team of volunteers for the community.”

Looking very tired – our cardio room floor before all your work
Worse for wear – the cardio room floor and bare walls before all your support
