We wouldn’t survive without all the help we get from so many people and businesses in our community. Some people help us out regularly and others come forward to donate to our appeals. We are hugely grateful to everyone! If you can help us out, please go to our Big Build Fund donations page or phone us on 07526 253100. £60,000
Donated on

We have recived £60k from Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council’s Section 106 fund.
Section 106 is money that has been set aside by developers to mitigate the impact that their development will have on local communities. This money is then allocated to community venues and spaces to improve facilities for the local area.
The £60k will go towards Project 1 of our refurbishment, along with the money from EPIP and some of our own funds. Project 1 of our refurbishment is the internal reorganisation of Penistone Leisure Centre to maximise the potential of the building and to make the centre accessible to everyone in our community. The current layout limits its use, meaning people have to walk through the main hall during classes to access the gym rooms, party room, kitchen and storage. Our new layout will mean much improved facilities and better access.
