Penistone Leisure Centre needs a lot of maintenance and we are very grateful to all the people who pitch in and help us out. Thanks to Jim and his friend who brought scaffolding on wheels and went round changing fluorescent tubes in the main hall a couple of weeks ago. It’s too high for ladders and the lights have been popping one after another – you will have noticed the light level has improved a lot now.
Thanks as well to Tom Vickers from AVLS who came and rewired some of our speaker cables, meaning we could get the full music system in the hall working again. After using a CD player on a table in the hall for a while, it was brilliant to have music you could hear back again!
