Nov 17th – Macrame with Emily from LOL Productions

You will be taught a range of macrame knots and they can be used to make your own plant hangers and decorations plus a beautiful macrame keyring they can gift for Christmas or keep for themselves. All materials provided. I’ve also teamed up with Betty Hugh Plants to have some hangers, pots and plants for people to buy during the evening.
2hr workshop for £10pp 

starts 6pm on Friday 17th – meet in our studio space @thehubcommunitycafe

Get Creative with Sarah Jones Morris Ceramics!

On Tuesday February 26th at 6:30-9pm, local potter Sarah Jones Morris is hosting a ceramics workshop here at the Leisure Centre. Why not join her to make your own decorative hanging plaque and wish pebbles!

Ceramics Workshops Coming Up at Penistone Leisure Centre!

Coming soon are another two dates for the very popular Sarah Jones Morris’ Ceramics workshops! This time the class focuses on Decorative Hanging Plaques and Wish Pebbles.

Here are some of the results of another recent workshop!

Come along on Tuesday 26th February or Wednesday the 13th of March at 6:30pm in the party room.

The informal workshops are a relaxing way to spend an evening!

Sarah says
“All levels are welcome…You don’t have to be ‘arty’. Working with clay is very therapeutic and great for bringing out the artistic side you never knew you had! Come along and get creative!”

Tea and Coffee are provided, and you are welcome to bring along a glass of wine or beer if you like.

All equipment is provided, and Sarah will fire and glaze your pieces!

Get crafty at skating!

The Art Explosion team will be offering a craft sessions at the Saturday skate in the second weekend of the half term holiday (Sat, Feb 23).

Weekend skating is on as normal at the start and end of the holiday week (Saturdays 12noon to 2pm and Sundays 10am-12noon) and on the second Saturday there will be the chance for skaters to take a break and spectators to make something interesting in the party room.

Each craft activity costs £1 and you will be able to make things such as pom pom keyrings and marshmallow yetis.
