Could You Spare a Couple of Hours over Summer?

We’re rapidly heading for the school summer holidays which are a really busy time at Penistone Leisure Centre!

We’d like to run roller skating sessions from 2-4pm on weekdays throughout the summer and need lots of volunteers to be able to open all these extra hours! Could you help? Your job could be handing out skates, taking payments or working in the tuck shop and full training will be given! No qualifications are required and your children can skate free in any session that you volunteer in- win win!

Skate 7/9 is This Friday!

On the third Friday of every month we host ‘Skate 7/9’ a skating session for years 7-9 at school. It’s fun, friendly and LOUD!

The next date is Friday 21st June at 7-9pm. The session costs £4 which includes Skate Hire if needed. We have all sizes in blades or quads available to borrow. The tuck shop will be open for drinks and snacks too.

Bring your own music and we’ll play it! Bring your friends and leave Mum and Dad at home for the evening*!

Start your weekend off right!

* no parents need to stay, as long as we have a signed ‘unaccompanied children form’ with emergency contact details.

Adults, Join Us to Skate This Saturday Night!

Here’s your reminder- It’s adult Skate Disco this Saturday night from 7:30-10pm.

Who’s game?!

Same format as usual, loud retro music, disco lights, tuck shop for snacks, and a blast from the past!

It costs £5 on the door, which includes skate/blade hire if you need it and we have all sizes up to Adult size 14!

We also have helmets, shin and elbow pads if you think you might need them!

Skate 7/9 Time!

It’s nearly time for another Skate 7/9… Our next date is Friday 21st June!

What is Skate 7/9? It’s a session for everyone in school years 7-9 and runs on the third Friday of every month from 7-9pm

We have loud music (you can bring your own and we’ll put it on), disco lights, snacks and drinks and space to hang out with your friends when you’re not skating. Beginners are welcome as well, you can try out skating with your friends.

Adults don’t usually stay, but a parent/guardian needs to fill in a Permission Form with emergency details. Ask a parent/guardian to print and complete it and bring it along or to pop into reception and fill it in the first time you come to the session. You will then be issued with a membership card, which you can show at future sessions so we know we’ve got your contact details.

Session costs £4 and includes skate/blade hire if needed.

For school year 2018/2019 this is children with birthdays between 01/09/2004 and 31/08/2007.

Then why not join us at June’s Adult Skate Disco? The next date is Saturday 8th June 7:30-10pm.

If you’ve not been before, here’s what to expect-

Arrive pay up your fiver for entry and skate hire, and swap your shoes for skates! We have skates and blades in all sizes up to adult 14, so we’re sure to have something to fit. Then Skate your heart out with retro tunes and disco lights. When you’re ready for a break, our tuck shop can furnish you with sweet treats and fizzy pop, so you’ll be ready for round two!

Why not drag your stuffy colleagues from work and help them loosen up a bit?!
