We Need Your Help To Get Word Out About Skate 7/9!
Have you got kids in years 7-9 at high school? We have the perfect place for them to hang out this Friday Night (20th September) from 7-9pm.
We host Skate 7/9 on the third Friday of every month. It’s a safe place for kids to hang out and skate with their mates, with a tuck shop, loud music and disco lights.
Kids can stay and skate without parents, as long as we have a signed consent form!
This is our first session after the summer holidays, so we need your help to get word out there to this year’s new year 7s! Please tag/share this event with anyone you think may want to come!
Entry is £4 which includes skate hire if needed.
Did You Know We Offer a Friday Night Skate Session for School Years 7-9?
On the third Friday of every month we host ‘Skate 7/9’ a skating session for years 7-9 at school. It’s fun, friendly and LOUD!
The next date is Friday 15th March at 7-9pm. The session costs £4 which includes Skate Hire if needed. We have all sizes in blades or quads available to borrow. The tuck shop will be open for drinks and snacks too.
Bring your own music and we’ll play it! Bring your friends and leave Mum and Dad at home for the evening*!

*no parents need to stay, as long as we have a signed ‘unaccompanied children form’ with emergency contact details.
Friday Disco Skate
The Friday disco skate continues to be loud and popular! The session is on from 8-10pm on Friday nights and is for young people in school years 7-10. On the 23rd December we will be having a Christmas skate in this session.
Due to high numbers of children attending at the moment, we can only run the session when we have 4 staff members on duty. Unfortunately this means there will be
No skate on 9th December or 30th December
We have a good team of volunteers and paid staff at this session now, including two small extras last week who did a great job helping their mum/auntie in the tuck shop. Help needed for teens skating
The Teens Skate is a highlight of the week for many of the young people who come and enjoy the loud music, disco atmosphere, snacks and fun time with their friends on Friday nights.
The session has been run by myself, Merry and Simon for a long time. However Simon has left for Scarborough this summer, and although he promises to pop back in on the occasional Friday night to see us all, it leaves us with a big gap most of the time. We have a kind offer from Lisa to do every third Friday – but are still understaffed a lot of weeks.
Merry hands out skates and does reception, I manage admissions and keep an eye on the hall and Simon ran the tuck shop – which is where we now have a gap. Could anyone offer to help us out? Every third week would be ideal, but every 6, 9, 12 weeks or even less would still be brilliant. Thanks!
