Only two to a table for maximum learning opportunities. But you don’t need a partner to come – just book a place and the coach will pair you up.

Since last week, lots more classes have been added to our Children’s Easter Holiday Timetable. Kids can now do Boogie Bounce – a fun fitness session on mini trampolines. There will be multisports sessions where they can do a mix of fencing, archery, dodgeball, football, goal ball and athletics games. Mums, dads and children can come together for some self defence training – you never know when it might be useful. And there are still places at Art Explosion, Jungle Yoga, Beginner Skating Lessons and Skating Skills. You can find out more about all these sessions on our Easter Holiday page.
A new session is starting from next week for women who like football, but who would prefer a slower version of the game. Walking football is suitable for any fitness level and for anyone over 16 and is just as competitive as the full game – we hope to be part of a league with other female walking football groups also starting in the area.
Walking football is on Tuesdays from 1-2pm from 23rd February. Funding to start these sessions is being provided by ‘Mars Just Play’ through Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA, so for the first 10 weeks the cost will be £2, but this price will need to go up after then.

The new Sunday Skate session is much quieter than Saturday at the moment, in a good way! Saturdays have been overcrowded since Christmas and we are hoping this Sunday session will relieve the pressure as some people move to the new day. A calmer session is nice and the people coming have enjoyed it. Please consider coming on Sunday 12-2pm rather than Saturday if you can – or Wednesday 4-5:45pm which is also relatively quiet. Young people at secondary school can also come on Fridays 8-10pm for their own teens session.
Thanks to Ron who has kindly agreed to be the lead volunteer at the Sunday sessions and to June, Jenny, Lucy, Kirsty, Ian, Merry, Melissa, Donna, Sharon, Simon, Jackie and Natalie who have already signed up to help out at weekends or over half term.

As usual, we need volunteers to cover all of our planned skating sessions at half term – this time including the Halloween Party on Saturday 31st. If you could help at all, it would be much appreciated. There are now around 20 skating volunteers, so if everyone could do just one session sometime in the holiday, that will probably be enough. New volunteers always welcome!

Saturday 24th October : 12-2pm (family)
Monday 26th October: 10am-12 (all)
Tuesday 27th October: 2-4pm (fast)
Wednesday 28th October: 10am-12 (family) and 2-4pm (all)
Friday 30th October: 2-4pm (all) and 8-10pm (teens – 11yrs and over)
Saturday 31st October: 12-2pm (family) and Halloween Party 6-8pm (all)
