Hello there,
Here at Penistone Leisure Centre, we are growing. Our Centre is growing and with it so are our opening hours. Creating memories that can last a lifetime and having fun is what we want people to experience when coming here and we would love for you to join us and help keep the Centre open as much as we can and be part of that magic. Together we can ensure that anybody of any age with any interest can come and use the facilities here at Penistone Leisure Centre. By helping with admin support you could be on our reception meeting the Centre users, answering queries, taking bookings or you could be helping set up for each activity. You would meet new like-minded people who all want to help within our community.
We find that our volunteers grow in confidence and develop new skills they didn’t know they were capable of. You can help as little or as often as you would like to as often as you would like.

We open on weekends too! Saturday mornings is full to bursting with fun family friendly activities.
Did you know that we offer private hire skating, Badminton, Table tennis, public skating sessions, parties, gym inductions and our gym and Cafe are open at the weekend too?
Like everything else going on at the Centre, all this weekend fun is growing, and with it the amount of help we will need. You would be a point of first contact for our guests on a weekend, either helping in our skating storeroom at the start of sessions or you could even help in our café. We know that weekends can be harder to commit to and that family time is precious, so rest assured, you can volunteer as little or as much as you would like. The memories people make on a weekend are wonderful to see and be a part of and it really can fill you with pride to know you are enabling those lovely lifelong memories.
