What’s On For The Summer Holidays?

We have lots of opportunities for family fun over the summer holidays here at Penistone Leisure Centre!

We have Public Roller Skating sessions Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun throughout the holidays (Please check and book via our website, as dates/times could be subject to change). (Please note – No Public skate sessions on Fri July 30th or Fri August 27th).

Public Skate sessions are £3 per skater which includes skate hire! The Café will be open for drinks and snacks, so if you don’t feel like skating, why not sit and have a cuppa and a snack whilst the kids burn off some energy!

We have two Nerf Scrimmage sessions for kids aged 5-8 on Friday 23rd July and Friday 6th August at 2:30-4:30pm. Nerf Scrimmage is a fast paced and fun team game with nerf guns and box forts! Can your team capture the flag?! The session is led by our staff and we provide safety goggles etc. You can either bring your own nerf gun, or hire one of ours if you don’t have your own. If these sessions are busy, we will add more dates through the holidays! Book online via our website now!

We have Skate ‘Crash Courses’ and Skating Skills lessons from Penistone Skate School so why not learn to skate with a little help this summer!

We have private hire badminton, table tennis, skating and sports available all summer please check our website, by clicking on the activity you’d like to do and the date for available times!

SMASH IT! Our Teens Boxing session will run throughout the summer holidays on Tuesdays at 3:30-4:30pm too!

We have a couple more activities in the works, and will update with more information when we have it!

Tickets For Easter’s Nerf Scrimmage are ON SALE NOW!

Our popular Nerf Scrimmage events are back for Easter Half Term Holidays!

Join us on Saturdays the 11th and 18th of April from 9:30-11:30am for Nerf Scrimmage! A fast paced and fun team game involving Nerf Guns and box forts!

Nerf Scrimmage is suitable for children aged 7-11 years old! Tickets are £8 per child and include safety equipment and ammo. Bring your own Nerf gun, or hire one of ours for £2 cash on the day! The game is marshaled to ensure everyone has a fun time.

Please note- If this event had to be cancelled due to government advice surrounding Corona Virus, we will be issuing refunds, so please don’t let this hold you back from buying tickets as, if we don’t sell enough advance tickets, we’ll be forced to cancel the event!

Got Kids Aged 5-8? Bring them to Nerf Scrimmage!!

We still have places available on our half term Nerf Scrimmage Event on Saturday 22nd February at 9:30-11:30am.

This session is suitable for 5-8 year olds is a fast paced and fun team game involving Nerf Guns and box forts! It’s loads of fun and guaranteed to tire them out. The session runs for an hour, then there’s a break for drinks & snacks (the tuck shop is open!), and then another 50 minute game.

Tickets cost £8pp and must be booked in advance (see the link at the bottom of the article!)- Bring your own Nerf Gun, or hire one of ours for £2 extra on the day! Price includes safety equipment, and the game is marshaled to ensure everyone has a fun time!

There are still a couple of spaces left on the Nerf Scrimmage session for kids aged 7-11 on Monday 17th February too, so grab them whilst you can!

Do You Want the Good News or the Bad News?

Let’s start with the bad news… If you fancied a go at our Ceramics Workshop-It’s SOLD OUT! Oh no! But if you’d like to express your interest in future events you can add your name to the waiting list here!

The good news is that there are still a handful of places available on our 10am Slime Workshop (£3 per child!) with Creation Station on Monday 17th February (11am session is SOLD OUT!) and on our Nerf Scrimmage (£8 per child) event on Monday 17th February 11:30am-1:30pm.

As usual we will have daily public skating sessions from 2-4pm Mon 17th- Fri 21st February and at the weekends as usual! At just £3 per skater it’s a great warm/dry activity to do with the kids!

We’ve got two dates for Nerf fans in the February School Holidays!

  • Monday 17th February 11:30-1:30pm (ages 7-11)
  • Saturday 22nd February 9:30-11:30am (ages 5-8)

Nerf Scrimmage is a fast paced and fun team game with Nerf Guns! Build your Box Fort and then capture the flag for your team. Bring along your own Nerf gun or hire one of ours for £2 extra on the day! Safety equipment is included in the ticket price and the game is marshalled to make sure everyone has a fun time!

Tickets are £8pp for the two hour session and these events often sell out, so early booking is advisable!
