This week we’ve got an inhouse wordsearch based around the cafe and our blooming garden space, a mini and mega treasure hunt that will test your knowledge and clue hunting skills in and around Penistone area ( maps can be bought from the reception for just £1, enter prize draw by 10th Sept ), our popular holiday skating on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with the usual weekend sessions too. Check out skating timings

We have spaces to hire to play badminton and table tennis (on Wednesday afternoon from 3.30pm we have dedicated our main hall to sports activities just £2pp) – call for availability or book online – book sports here

Just come along, have fun, keep fit and play sports!

Treasure Hunt starts this week

Penistone’s Treasure Hunt

Follow the Clues to find Penistone’s treasures.

Find many historic and interesting treasures that you might not have noticed before and some cheeky little added extras

The Hunt can start and finish from the Centre but you can do it in your time through the summer.

Mini Hunt = 10 Treasures

Follow in order, 1-10 and you follow an accessible route suitable for pushchairs and toddlers (approx 2 miles)

Mega Hunt = 30 Treasures

Follow in order, 1-30 and you will follow a route taking you around Penistone (approx 3 miles)

Purchase the Hunt list here and collect from reception from £1 per map

Treasures are available to find throughout the summer.

Bring your completed maps back to the Centre to be entered for the main prize draw.

Main prize Drawn – Mon 4th September

(Follow at you own risk – Please use your common sense and follow any relevant road signs)

Holiday Skating @ Penistone Leisure centre

We have lots of extra skating activities happening in July and August – pop them in your diary and remember to get booking!

Public Skating usually runs every Wednesday 3.30pm | Saturday 11am | Sunday 10am – all 2hr session £3.50pp

To keep everyone busy we have scheduled extra Holiday Skating during the Summer holidays – these will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the Summer ( first week can be booked ) you can check timings and Book skating here.

New Saturday morning drop in Badminton or table tennis sessions

Why not have a go at badminton and/or table tennis drop-in on Saturday mornings ( throughout the Summer holidays ) You are welcome to come on your own
or with friends / family. Set up a tournament – let’s have some good competitive fun!
PRICE: only £2 each
DATE: Saturdays in the Summer holidays 10.45am – 11.45am
No need to book
Come and have a laugh ( it’s a great way to keep fit too! )

If you haven’t already skated in our Summer holiday skating sessions … there is still time! Only £3 ( bargain! ) running for 2hrs on a Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. We have all the kit ( choose from quads and blades plus all the pads and helmets to keep safe ) and there is music too! ( you can play tunes from Spotify that are your favourite this week! ) It’s a brilliant way to keep the kids active over the Summer, have fun, even on a low budget and kids going into year 7 are welcome to come with their friends.
