More great progress this week here at Penistone Leisure Centre! The new back room Gym is nearly watertight now, with the lovely big windows in, and new fire exit doors being installed. The scaffolding should be coming down on Wednesday too!

Here’s the inside view currently. We’re still on the hunt for volunteers to help us paint the new room on the weekend of Sat 22nd/Sun 23rd Feb- Can you help? Drop us a message if you can help us to get the room painted and looking smart!

Unfortunately due to the levels of noise/dust which are being created by jobs like cutting through the hall walls to create the new viewing windows into the hall, we are having to close the Centre in the DAYTIMES ONLY on Wed 12th/Thurs 13th/Fri 14th February. This will affect Daytime Gym users, private bookings and people who attend Walking Netball on Fridays (Coach Hannah is contacting regular attendees) If you are a daytime gym user with a weekly pass, please contact us, and we will extend your pass to ensure you can use the gym for the number of days you have paid for.
All evening classes will go ahead as usual, and extra cleaning is being done to ensure that the centre is left in a clean/tidy state after the builders have been working.
The Leisure Centre will be OPEN AS USUAL all throughout half term week (Mon 17th-Sun 23rd Feb). All Half term activities will go ahead as planned and daytime Gym sessions will go ahead as usual that week, PLUS extra gym Sessions Monday-Friday 2-4pm during Public Skating sessions. There will be no builders on site during half term.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused by our temporary daytime closures and the trustees, volunteers and staff are working extremely hard to timetable works as efficiently as possible to avoid as much disruption as possible.
