Easter Treasure Hunt on Wed 31st March 9am-4pm

Looking for something fun to do in the Easter Holidays? Call in to Penistone Leisure Centre on Wednesday 31st of March between 9am-4pm to collect/return your map for our Easter themed treasure hunt!

Follow the map to do a (just under) 2 mile walk and spot our pictures of Bunnies, Eggs and Chicks on the route! Fill out the answers on your map sheet and return it to Penistone Leisure Centre for a chocolate egg prize! Sadly the route is not suitable for pushchairs due to steps.

Suitable for kids of all ages, and just £1 per child.

Some Changes to School Holidays Roller Skating!

We’ve recently been awarded an NHS contract to provide facilities for Cardiac Rehabilitation, which is great news for the Leisure Centre! Working around the new timetable of daytime availability, the times we offer Public Roller Skating sessions during the school holidays will be changing-

Sessions will now be 10:30am-12:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (and weekends as usual!)

During the Easter School holidays, the sessions are £3 per child which includes skate hire. No need to book! Just turn up-

  • Mon 6/4-10:30am-12:30pm
  • Tues 7/4- 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Wed 8/4- NO SKATING
  • Thurs 9/4– 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Fri 10/4- 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Sat 11/4- 12-2pm
  • Sun 12/4– 10am-12pm
  • Mon 13/4– 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Tues 14/4– 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Wed 15/4- NO SKATING
  • Thurs 16/4– 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Fri 17/4- 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Sat 18/4- 12-2pm
  • Sun 19/4-10am-12pm

Want to learn or brush up on your skating skills? Rachel is running the following skating lessons during the school holidays! These lessons are great as a taster to see if you’d like to book a block of skating lessons, and are £8 per child including skate hire if needed. Bring along a snack, or buy one from the tuck shop for breaktime.

Tickets For Easter’s Nerf Scrimmage are ON SALE NOW!

Our popular Nerf Scrimmage events are back for Easter Half Term Holidays!

Join us on Saturdays the 11th and 18th of April from 9:30-11:30am for Nerf Scrimmage! A fast paced and fun team game involving Nerf Guns and box forts!

Nerf Scrimmage is suitable for children aged 7-11 years old! Tickets are £8 per child and include safety equipment and ammo. Bring your own Nerf gun, or hire one of ours for £2 cash on the day! The game is marshaled to ensure everyone has a fun time.

Please note- If this event had to be cancelled due to government advice surrounding Corona Virus, we will be issuing refunds, so please don’t let this hold you back from buying tickets as, if we don’t sell enough advance tickets, we’ll be forced to cancel the event!

You may have seen over the last month, the beautiful Easter Hampers that our lovely volunteers Cheryl and Alison made up for our Easter draw?

We know alot of you have been wondering who won, so…. The winners were drawn earlier this week, and the we’re delighted to say that they are Leanne Dodd and Joe Clegg!

Get Magical this School Holidays with Quidditch!

Join us on Thursday 25th from 10:30-11:15am for Quidditch- a magical team game on Broomsticks!

This fun team game was made famous by Harry Potter!
The object of the game of Quidditch is to score more points than your opponents. Players do this by scoring goals which is done by placing a slightly deflated volleyball called the Quaffle into the opposition’s goals giving them 10 points, and by capturing the Golden Snitch which is worth 30 points.
