Join DDMIX for a FREE Dance Class on Thurs 29th April!

Here’s a quick message from Mel, our DDMIX Teacher!

I’m so excited to announce that we’re holding a FREE class here at MK Dance next week, Thursday, April 29th in honor of International Dance Day!

Here’s our free class schedule for the day:

19:30-20:15, 29th April, virtual class

We have some extra special surprises for you in honor of International Dance Day as well 🙂

Surprise #1:

We’re debuting an original song, “Come Alive”, that was created specifically for International Dance Day, by award winning and Emmy nominated duo, Rockwell & Litvin.

Their work has been featured on Disney, Netflix, and Marvel and I can tell you first hand, the song is sooooo good and we’re going to be moving our bodies to it with you on Thursday.

Surprise #2:

Speaking of moving our bodies, we’ll be teaching brand new, original choreography to “Come Alive”, which was created by none other than Lady Gaga’s choreographer himself, Richy Jackson!

Why not join Mel from DDMIX for a live class on Wednesday evenings at 8-8:30pm on her facebook page MK Dance?

Diverse Dance Mix is a dance class devised by Dame Darcey Bussell and is a combination of simple routines from around the globe. Mel is very kindly running these classes FREE for all during the lockdown, so why not join her this Wednesday.

To take part, just go to Mel’s facebook page at 8pm on Wednesday and join in!

When classes are able to resume- Mel runs her DDMIX sessions on Wednesday at 8pm at Penistone Leisure Centre.

DDMIX is at Penistone Leisure Centre every Wednesday from 7:30-8:30pm

DDMIX stands for Diverse Dance Mix and is the creation of The Royal Ballet and Strictly Come Dancing’s Dame Darcey Bussell.

The aim of DDMIX is to get people moving without being intimidated by the word ‘dance’ or the technicality of the steps, but instead to give a full body workout that is such fun that you don’t even notice that you are exercising. With the vast number of dance styles around the world to choose from, no one will ever get bored!

Classes cost £6 or you can save money by booking a block of 4 for £20. There’s no need to book your space, so you can just turn up on the night!

A Change of Day for DDMIX

DDMIX Dance fitness class is moving from Thursdays to 7:30pm on Wednesdays as of Wed 03/07/19.

Who’s up for joining Melanie for a trip around the world in 60 minutes? Melanie teaches over 30 styles of dance in her fun class, so no two classes will ever be the same!

Classes cost £6 or book four in advance for £20, making it just £5 per class!

DDMIX is an eclectic blend of 26 dance styles from around the world, so no class will ever be the same! Our regular DDMIX class runs on Thursdays at 8:30-9:30pm.

The class was devised by Dame Darcey Bussell (of the Royal Ballet & Strictly Come Dancing!) and is choreographed by herself and Nathan Clarke, so if you love dancing, you’ll love this class!
