We’re really pleased to say that our application for some more funding from South Yorkshire Community Foundation has been successful! We’ve been granted £5,000 towards flooring in the new rooms created by the renovation work from the ‘Mark Dransfield and Deborah Holmes Charitable Trust’ and the ‘Liz and Terry Bramall Philanthropy Catalyst Fund’
We are grateful to the above named individuals for their kind contributions! This money means we will be able to make the new rooms safe and serviceable for many years to come.
We are still a long way away from having enough money to fund all areas of the refurbishment and are busy filling in more grant applications and thinking of ways to fundraise! Could you help us? We’d love to hear from you!
We are currently fundraising for our ‘Health and Wellbeing Cafe’ with a crowdfunder via Aviva. Will you benefit? Imagine a nice place to sit whilst your children skate (and lovely big windows into the hall so you can watch them!). Imagine a friendly and welcoming ‘board games cafe’ where you can meet new friends! Imagine a healthy hot meals cafe for older people to meet and socialise after using the sports facilities? Imagine a ‘bat and chat’ table tennis session with space for a nice coffee and cake afterwards! And more!
Please pledge as much as you can if you think you’d benefit from any of these things (or have any suggestions for anything else we can do in the cafe space!) We’ll only get the money if we successfully reach our £3,000 target. So we need as much help to SHARE this project and reach the goal (which currently stands at £160…)
