We’ve got three fun and messy workshops during the October School Holidays for you! So keep the mess at our place, and bring them along to…

  • Kids Ceramics workshop with Sarah Jones Morris on Wednesday 30th October at 10-11:30am to make and decorate a ceramic pot/planter. This workshop is suitable for kids aged 8-16 years. Spaces are £15 each which includes all materials.
  • Join Helen for a fun and spooky art session on Tuesday 29th October at 10-11:30am. In this session you will create spooky themed artwork using a variety of methods including wax resists, stamping and printing with acrylics and inks. Suitable for kids aged 7-11. £8 per child.
  • Spooky Slime Workshop with Brad from Creation Station Penistone! Come along on Thursday 31st October at either 10am or 11am for a chance to make your own spooky slime! Suitable for kids 4+. £3 per child (Siblings +£2)

We have another fun packed half term lined up for you, with daily skating sessions, Nerf scrimmage, slime workshops, Halloween party, a spooky art session and a ceramics workshop!

Bookings are open now for our events, so please grab your spots now to avoid disappointment!

Ceramics Workshops Coming Up at Penistone Leisure Centre!

Coming soon are another two dates for the very popular Sarah Jones Morris’ Ceramics workshops! This time the class focuses on Decorative Hanging Plaques and Wish Pebbles.

Here are some of the results of another recent workshop!

Come along on Tuesday 26th February or Wednesday the 13th of March at 6:30pm in the party room.

The informal workshops are a relaxing way to spend an evening!

Sarah says
“All levels are welcome…You don’t have to be ‘arty’. Working with clay is very therapeutic and great for bringing out the artistic side you never knew you had! Come along and get creative!”

Tea and Coffee are provided, and you are welcome to bring along a glass of wine or beer if you like.

All equipment is provided, and Sarah will fire and glaze your pieces!

Arty and Party – Halloween at Penistone Leisure Centre

Art Explosion

Ruth and Jude, our Art Explosion artists, have now confirmed activities for the session on Tuesday 27th October:

“We’re doing a Halloween theme based on the Mexican Day of the Dead. We’ll be making masks, a magic paper drawing, musical instruments, decorating biscuits and making a bag for it all to go in!”

The session is £13 and runs from 10am-2pm. It is for ages 6-10yrs and children can be left as Ruth and Jude are both DBS (child protection) checked.

You can book your place online, or we will soon have printed booking forms in reception. There is a limit of 20 places.

Halloween Skating Party

The time for the Halloween Skating Party has now been set as 6-8pm on Saturday 31st October. It will cost £5 per head for adults or children (spectators are free). There will be prizes for the best fancy dress costume, witch and monster games to play and skating to scary songs. Gruesome party food is included in the price.

You can book your tickets online or there will soon be tickets available in reception. There is a limit of 50 places.
