PLC has a very popular Public skating sessions regularly at weekends Saturdays 12 – 2pm and Sundays 10 – 12pm, these are staffed by PLC volunteers. We also have extra session during school holidays. See our Easter Holiday dates and activities HERE

We have various roles –
Lead Volunteer
You will be responsible for the Skating session from beginning to end – possibly needing to open and close the building.
You will check skaters in and hand out skates.
You will be responsible for the other volunteers on duty, a skate hall volunteer and a Cafe assistant volunteer.
Must be first aid trained – We can provide the training for you free of charge.
Must be 18yrs+
Skate Hall Volunteer
Duties will include to be on duty in the skate hall, assisting skaters should they need any and making sure everyone follows safely the direction of skating and speed.
You may also be asked to help out at the beginning and end of session of the handing out and taking back of skates if busy.
Age from 14yrs
Cafe Assistant Volunteer
Saturdays – Helping to serve customers – The Hub Cafe will be open so you’ll be helping in the Cafes seating area only not the kitchen.
Sundays – To serve drinks and tuck shop products from the kitchen – Level 2 Hygiene Cert trained ( we will provide this for you Free of charge)
Age from 14yrs
