Penistone Leisure Centre has now reached a level of success and complexity that means we need to appoint a paid administrator – there is too much work for volunteers alone. The role will be challenging and varied and we need the right person – someone who can help us to become more efficient and organised but still keep all the volunteers and community involved.
We are going to be advertising this post far and wide to ensure we have lots of people to choose from. But we would also love to see applications from people who are currently involved in the centre, who are committed to it and who value what we do.
The post is for a ‘Business and Volunteer Administrator’ and is for 20hrs/wk at a rate of £13.50/hr – £24,570/yr fte. The days/times worked are mostly negotiable – but once chosen, we would want at least half of the hours to be at set times each week.
The job is to do a lot of the day to day admin that is currently done by the Trustees – managing rotas and payroll, supporting volunteers, organising sessions/events/training, bookings/enquiries, promotion, purchasing equipment, booking maintenance and generally doing the jobs that come up. We will also want them to start developing new projects/sessions/ideas to take the centre forward. The Administrator will be managed by the Trustees and will meet them regularly, but will also need to be able to work independently.
For more details about this job, what we are looking for in an applicant and an application form, please go to our Administrator Job page. If you have any questions, please email Kirsty at job@penistoneleisurecentre.org.uk or call her on 07341 300259.
