Sheila Frampton teaches SOSA dance classes at Penistone Leisure Centre
I am an Exercise to Music Level 2 Fitness Instructor, a Level 3 ETM trainer and assessor and a Powerhoop Trainer/Instructor.
I started dance at the age of 3 first at Fox’s Dance School in Huddersfield and later with Charles Frost – and got to Gold Medal standard in Latin and Ballroom. I stopped ballroom and latin in my later teenage years and took up ice dance – and, after many years, started to teach fitness.
I absolutely LOVE SOSA because it is so lively, with a great variety of routines bringing in steps from waltzes, foxtrots, quicksteps and charlestons, cha-cha, jive rock and roll, disco and paso doble. If you love Strictly you’ll love SOSA! The time passes so quickly – and it’s really important that everyone is able to participate – unlike fitness classes where you’re just supposed to follow, SOSA instructors walk you through the steps first and we repeat the same routines regularly so that you get to know the steps.
