So, those of you who have been following our Gym Renovations will know that huge progress has been made over the last few weeks, with the removal of the old timber floor (which had dry rot) and replacement with a damp-proof membrane and a concrete floor.
The room was prepared for painting by a lovely group of volunteers on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday the 4th of January, so big ‘Thank you!’ to Rachel Gibbons, Clive Leacock, Harvey Leacock, Zach Biden and Andy Cudworth, Frances Greenwood and Michael Cooper.
The really rather wonderful Bridge End Builders came in on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th of January to give the whole room a lick of paint. Josh and his team have given two full days of their time, during their working week to come in and help us, so please do give their page a like on facebook (here) and support your local tradesmen. We think you’ll agree that they’ve done a brilliant job!
Think you’d like to help? There are always a variety of volunteering opportunities available at Penistone Leisure Centre- why not speak to Louise, our Volunteer co-ordinator. Email- [email protected]
