Volunteers Needed

12/05/2022 by Sarah Catterall Leave a Comment

Do you have any time to offer PLC? We are so lucky to have a great loyal volunteer base that help with everything at the Centre from general reception duties to Maintenance – Gardening – Activities – Gym – Classes – Skating – Kitchen Assistants.

Are you an early riser – if the sun’s up, then are you up too?

We have some staffing changes soon and are looking for volunteers to cover early morning reception from 6am-8am – We have some early morning Gym users that would appreciate your time offered so they can still access the Gym and get their workout in.

PLC has many other opportunities too – you could help out at external events maybe, such as Penistone Gala (June 12th) to help man the Stall and positively engage with potential clients for the Centre by giving information and answering any questions.

Please fill in the Volunteer application form or email Sarah on sarah@penistoneleisurecentre.org.uk

Please Nominate us

The Movement for Good Awards 2022

You can make a difference. We’re not asking for money, or any real time, just your nomination of a registered charity, not-for-profit organisation, or community interest company in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man. Anyone can nominate and that one act could potentially mean an extra £1,000 to those trying to make a difference. The more nominations a charity receives, the greater their chance of winning, so once you’ve done your part, spread the word and make it a movement!

We are constantly looking at updating our facilities and equipment and this nomination would be a huge help if it meant we were a recipient.

Thank you
