Whether you fancy getting fit or just need some wheels to get out and about this summer, the Penistone Leisure Centre Bike Library has the right ride for you.
We have bikes for all ages and sizes and they’re free to borrow.
Cycling is a great way to see the local countryside, get fit or as the basis for a family day out, perhaps even a holiday.
Don’t forget you can take your bikes on the train to get to further flung destinations and there are lots of local bike routes – try the Transpennine Trail which passes through Penistone, or look at Sustrans, coordinators of the National Cycle Network, for route ideas and maps.
All you need to do is give Pete, at the Bike Library, a call on 07397 288043 to arrange a pick up time. You’ll need some ID to sign the bikes out and fix a date to return them. You can keep them for up to three weeks when, as long as no-one else is waiting for the bikes, you can renew for another three weeks.
