Let’s hear it for…

22/03/2019 by Frances Greenwood Leave a Comment

… Well, everyone really!!

You may have seen us on the front page of the Barnsley Chronicle today.

We’re delighted to say we’ve had two BIG offline donations today!

We were blown away, when Steve Dickinson, the Chair of Penistone Footpath Runners popped in with a £250 donation towards the roof, £120 rent for their use of the centre for their ‘Winter Handicap’ and he personally wrote us a cheque for £130 to make it up to another £500 in the fund! So we owe a HUGE thank you to all the footpath runners, and to Steve for their generous contribution! We always knew we liked runners…

We have also had an anonymous donation of £500 from another kind local person… Ooooooh mysterious!

AND our Crowd-Funding page (thank you to EVERYONE who has donated!) is at £1164

Parker Maythorn our roofers, have very kindly offered to let us pay half of the bill this year and the other half next year, which takes off a huge amount of pressure! Thank you so much to them! This means we now need to reach a total of £3150 by Monday to allow them to go ahead. Obviously, we still need to raise the money to pay the balance, so we’re not out of the woods yet! And of course, there are likely to be other issues as the project progresses, so every penny really does count!

SO…

Our running total is now (Correct as of 9pm Friday 22nd April)

Crowd Funding- £1164

Penistone Trunce Runners £500

Penistone Footpath Runners & Steve Dickinson £500

Anonymous donor £500

Total Raised – £2664

So we have TWO DAYS to raise a further £486… Can you help us get there?
