We are very sad to see Louise go next week, after two and a half years at Penistone Leisure Centre. She was our first administrator, and her hard work is the reason we have got to the point where our big refurbishment project is possible. She has got us organised, brought in new business and funding, hugely increased the number of volunteers, and set up systems to make sure we are doing everything properly.
It’s great news for Louise though – her new job is being a student support officer at Huddersfield University, which takes her more in the direction of her interests. On the days she hasn’t been working at Penistone Leisure Centre, Louise works as a counsellor, and so this new job will mean she can develop these skills.
So if you’re at the centre tomorrow or Tuesday, please join me in wishing Louise well. We hope she’ll keep in touch!
