Yes, we know it’s early to be thinking about Christmas with Halloween and Bonfire Night not yet out of the way.
But we need to plan ahead, especially for a time when many people go away or are busy with family festivities.
So if you know your plans over the Christmas holidays and there is a slot or two you could volunteer here at the centre please let us know.
We are hoping to have our afternoon holiday skating extra sessions on after New Years day (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, January 2, 3 and 4 ) along with other activities.
The extra holiday sessions are only possible with your help!
There is also our festive fun at the Christmas Skate Party. It will be all hands on deck for the for an afternoon of excitement between 3pm and 5.30pm on Saturday, December 22, when we will need several volunteers.
But any time you can spare, even it doesn’t match those times may be helpful as some of our regular volunteers may be away.
Don’t forget all the benefits of volunteering – of course if you volunteer to help at the Christmas Party your youngster will come for free.
As well as being great for your CV and knowing you’ve put something back into the community, here at the Leisure Centre we give our volunteers free gym passes, skating tickets, party tickets, free badminton or table tennis sessions and you can even save up your rewards to hire the centre for a party!
Everyone gets a full induction on all the things they will need to know so don’t worry if you’ve not volunteered with us before.
If you can help please contact Nikki on 07305 090006.
** We are still looking for volunteers to cover reception on a weekly basis.
Volunteers are needed for Mondays between 5pm and 6.30pm.
And for Wednesdays between 6pm and 8.30pm.
These hours are to cover reception, mainly involve taking payments for gym sessions – but all training will be given before you start.
