Ceramics course – Lovespoons and decorations

January 8, 2017 2 Comments

After her successful ceramics courses in November, making Christmas decorations and presents, Sarah Jones-Morris is back at Penistone Leisure Centre again. This time she will be showing you how to make lovespoons and decorations, either on a Monday evening or Thursday daytime.

You can book either course on Eventbrite:

  • Monday January 23rd 6:30-9pm
  • Thursday January 26th 10am-12:30pm

Sarah says:

This is a ceramics workshop using porcelain and stoneware clays to create ceramic lovespoons and decorations. Using handbuilding techniques I will be showing you how to form ceramic spoons which you will then decorate using a number of techniques, you can also choose to personalise your spoons with your own message if you wish. We will also have the chance to make some porcelain decorations using a variety of cookie cutter shapes ( if you have your own that you would like to use, please feel free to bring them in) and different textured fabrics. Your finished pieces will be fired and glazed and returned to you a couple of weeks later.

    Hi Stacie,
I expect Sarah will run the course again, this is the second time she’s done them at Penistone Leisure Centre. You can call/text her on 07719 528787 and I’m sure she will let you know when she is next planning one. Alternatively, you could sign up for our newsletter (in the sidebar of most pages) and we’ll let you know when we have dates for the next course.

I missed this course but it is something I would be interested in doing – do you know if it’ll be run again?

    Thanks
