Public skating session

About public sessions

Public skating is on!
Saturday 11-1pm & Sunday 10-12pm

Wednesdays 3.30-5.30pm (Only certain dates avaliable)

Extra sessions during school holidays too.

£3.50 pp | Skate hire and safety wear is included in the entrance price.
Come with friends and family and put some fun into the weekend and holidays!

We have skates in sizes from junior 8 to adult 14, so everyone can join in.

There will be music playing to skate to (song requests can be made at the skate store), and we often have the disco lights on.

Please note – We have parties or other classes/activities after Public skate sessions, so please make sure your leaving by the end time of session. Thanks.

The Hub Cafe

The Hub Cafe is now open during Public skating on Saturdays, serving lunches and snacks during the session. There will be food such as toasted sandwiches, jacket potatoes and cake.

On Sundays The Cafe is closed for meals but we can serve hot and cold drinks, crisps and chocolate (Maybe a slice of cake or two too!)

Wednesdays – Cafe will be closed for seating and Cafe – Tuck shop will be open for cold drinks and snacks.

Note – When the Cafe is open, you will not be able to bring your own food to those sessions.

Safety information

  • We have pads and helmets to keep you safe, and beginner mats for getting going.
  • Please skate in an anti-clockwise direction.
  • Please be aware that there are people of different abilities skating together and take care.
  • Our safety limit is 50 skaters. Spectators are free and not included in the numbers.
  • Adults are welcome to walk around with beginner skaters to support them, but non-skating children must remain seated or in the Cafe area.

Booking notes

You can book below, which guarantees your place. Or you can pay on the door if we still have spaces. We can be very busy, especially in the winter and holidays, so booking in advance is recommended.
