As many of you know, we’re undertaking major work to the Gym at Penistone Leisure Centre following the discovery of extensive dry rot under the floor.
This is major work, and has been quoted at around £10,000 to remedy and replace the floor.
Since re-opening in 2013 after council cutbacks forced closure in 2011, the Leisure Centre has gone from strength to strength, entirely thanks to the excellent team of Volunteers and Trustees that have invested countless hours of their own time into the community. Now we are in need of help of a different kind, and are looking to raise money towards the substantial bill that is forthcoming!
Can you help?
We had a brilliant suggestion from Zoe Wyatt (Thank you Zoe!) to set up a crowd funding page to see whether we could raise some (or even ALL) of the money towards the repairs, so here it is, click the link below to give what you can!
ANY amount, large or small is much appreciated, and will take us closer to the target. Even if you can’t afford to help, why not give the appeal a SHARE via social media or email, as we need to reach as many people as possible!
