A Small Change to Gym Membership…

14/03/2019 by Frances Greenwood Leave a Comment

We are bringing in membership cards for all our gym users. This essential change will not cost you anything- it simply shows you have been inducted (so are using the gym equipment safely) and have an up-to-date PAR-Q form (checks that you have no health conditions that prevent you from exercising safely).

This change to gym policy is in response to new data protection laws and our new insurance conditions, and is essential in order to make sure we are keeping all our gym users safe.

Over the next few weeks, reception staff will start to ask whether you have a membership card, and ask you to show the membership card each time you sign in.

If you don’t already have your membership card, they will check whether we have one already made out for you (we are making them automatically for people who we have all the correct information for already!) and give it to you if so.
If your PAR-Q is more than a year old, the reception volunteer will give you a new one to fill in, so a card can be made for you.
If we don’t have a record of your induction, you will be asked to book a new induction.

If you would like to book a refresher induction to ensure your training isn’t interrupted the link is:

If you think you have had an induction, but we don’t have a record of it, please leave your name and number with the volunteer on reception and we’ll get back to you. We don’t have cards made out for everyone yet, so please bear with us we appreciate your patience!
