What is 78 ?
Penistone Leisure Centre is currently working with 78 OPEN hours to the public!!!!!!
WOW! – You bet!
This is achieved by a combination of Volunteers, Trustees and Staff.
This doesn’t even include the 10 hours over the weekends that Parties are hosted here nor does it include the Skating lessons on a Sunday evening. so add another 14 hours and PLC is available to the community for 92 hours a week. That, I think you’ll agree, is pretty impressive.
Our Staff work tirelessly to keep the Centre running and smoothly as possible (Think swan swimming gracefully on a lake! and the crazy, mad little feet paddling away beneath.) And the many Volunteers who are immensely generous with their time and support everything from Groups such as PenActive and the Gym Instructors making sure people are inducted correctly and safely to use the Gym here, to simply doing of offering a little TLC to the outside areas. Not to mention then of course the Trustees who look after everything in general.
Could you spare a couple of hours a week to help out – We’ve plenty of little jobs need doing either regularly or as and when you are available.
